ムシャフ・アル・ハディナの二つ折り本

自然のコーランとして知られるムシャフ・アル・ハディナは、ズィール朝の支配者、アブ・マナド・バディス・イブン・アル・マンスール(在位紀元996–1016年)の乳母がケルアンの大モスクへ寄贈するために作らせたものです。北アフリカ特有のクーフィー体の書の美しさのみならず、中世の王室付きの女性の召使いが作らせたことを記録するふたつの銘が、この作品の重要性を示しています。王女または従者を問わず、ズィール朝の王室と関連のある女性の後援者は珍しくなく、富と信仰心を示すためコーランの製作を依頼することがよくありました。この作品は動物由来の羊皮紙に書かれていますが、この地方では、エジプト、イラク、イランのコーラ ンに紙が使われるようになった後も長く使われていました。
