From ancient wonders to modern masterpieces, there are endless discoveries to make at the Museum. Step into an Egyptian temple from 15 BC, see Van Gogh’s iconic self-portrait, and stroll through the largest collection of Vermeers in the world.

Don’t miss one of our special exhibitions opening this spring. Get a rare look at one of the most iconic artists of all time in Raphael: Sublime Poetry, opening March 29, and make sure to see Costume Art, the exhibition behind The Met Gala, opening May 10.

Experience medieval European art and architecture surrounded by serene, garden-filled courtyards overlooking the Hudson River. Our collection is based on more than 400 species of plants known and used in the Middle Ages.

This spring, join us at our Plant Sale, where you can make your own garden art, and have Cloisters gardeners and horticulturists help you select a medieval-inspired plant for your outdoor garden.
