Spring at The Met
Spring into art at The Met. Welcome the season with iconic exhibitions, free tours, events, and performances.
From ancient wonders to modern masterpieces, there are endless discoveries to make at the Museum. Step into an Egyptian temple from 15 BC, see Van Gogh’s iconic self-portrait, and stroll through the largest collection of Vermeers in the world.
Don’t miss one of our special exhibitions opening this spring. Get a rare look at one of the most iconic artists of all time in Raphael: Sublime Poetry, opening March 29, and make sure to see Costume Art, the exhibition behind The Met Gala, opening May 10.
Fridays and Saturdays, 5–9 pm
Every week, the Museum stays open late for Date Night! Treat yourself or a special someone to an evening of culture, drink specials, and live music.
This spring, hear musical instruments from The Met collection; celebrate the newly reimagined Africa and Oceania galleries with music, dance, and storytelling; experience performance in dialogue with newly reinstalled European paintings and favorite works from the American Wing; and much more.
Grab your friends and family and take over the Museum at Teens Take The Met or Museum Mile Festival! Drop in for activities including art making, performances, music, and more.
Experience medieval European art and architecture surrounded by serene, garden-filled courtyards overlooking the Hudson River. Our collection is based on more than 400 species of plants known and used in the Middle Ages.
This spring, join us at our Plant Sale, where you can make your own garden art, and have Cloisters gardeners and horticulturists help you select a medieval-inspired plant for your outdoor garden.
