八月的软月历
奥登伯格向来善于以矛盾转化身边的平凡事物，使它们拥有生气。在他的艺术品中，硬的变软，微小的变得巨大，在《软月历》中，平面的变成立体的。奥登伯格的填充布雕塑始自1962年，起初作为他的活动雕塑中的道具，后来发展成独立的艺术作品。《软月历》中的大数字有枕头般的浑圆形态，感觉舒服，重叠的排列突出了体积感。一旦将帆布形态布置好后，奥登伯格就给雕塑表面上色，用明亮的红色使每个周日脱颖而出，再将一周中剩下的日子以散发光泽的白色珐琅漆覆盖。
