Livre Nouveau de Lambris, Plate 6
Plate 6 of a series of designs for paneling. This plate shows two variants of paneling around windows. On the left is a panel with two winged putti, an enthroned figure and two other figures. Under that panel is another with a parade of putti. The shutters of the window are also decorated with figurative scenes. The left side has blank paneling. On both sides the frames of the windows are made with a husk motif. Each window is topped with a mascaron. Finally, the wall is rhythmized by corinthian fluted pilasters, a frieze with palmettes and a molding with modillions.
