하산도

중국 화가들은 900년부터 1100년까지의 기간동안 창작의 숭고성을 표현하는 산수화를 제작하였습니다. 이러한 산수화는 감상자가 그림에 등장하는 인물상과 자신을 동일시하도록 의도되었습니다.이 하산도에서 여행자들은 사원의 안거를 향해 나아갑니다. 중앙의 산은 신하에 둘러싸인 황제마냥 권위가 있으며 자연 위계질서의 정점을 이루고 있습니다. 질감을 강조하는 필획과 능숙한 수묵 사용법은 하산도가 1050년경 활동한 거장이 그린 작품임을 암시합니다. 이 연대는 송대 휘종 황제(재위기1101–1125년)의 감식인에 의해 확인되었으며, 그의 회화 목록은 굴정 작의 하경이라는 제목을 가진 세 점의 작품을 포함하지만, 그 외 화가에 관해서 알려진 바는 없습니다.
