이 입상은 앙코르에서 출토된 금속상 중 보존상태가 가장 우수하며 캄보디아와 타이 북동부 크메르령에서 발굴되었고 궁정 신앙 관습과 연관된 소수의 힌두신 금속조각상에 속합니다. 이 입상은 표준 수인 도상과 일치하지 않는 수인을 하고 있으며 중요한 지물을 지니고 있지 않기 때문에 식별하기가 쉽지 않지만 시바 신을 인격화된 형태로 묘사한 것으로 추정하고 있습니다. 크메르 미술에서 보기 드문 양식입니다. 이 조각상은 왕궁의 성소에 모신 숭배 대상 및 왕의 특정 조상을 기리는 위한 목적 등 이중으로 사용되었을 가능성이 있습니다.
