Marble bowl

This rolled-rim shallow bowl is completely intact. A reddish-brown encrustation covers the bowl, though less so on the interior due to cleaning. There are calcium carbonate deposits mainly on the exterior. This is a particularly well-preserved example of a shallow bowl with swollen, rounded rim designed to keep liquids from splashing over the sides.(1)
