15.43.252a: jug.
Translucent purple; handle and trail in colorless glass.
Vertical, rounded rim; broad flaring mouth; cylindrical neck expanding downwards; shoulder pushed in on one side, sloping on other; cylindrical body with vertical side; pushed-in bottom with pontil mark at center; handle applied in a pad to top edge of body.
On underside of mouth, single horizontal trail wound round once.
Broken, with half of rim and mouth missing, another hole in shoulder and top of body, and almost all of handle missing, all with weathered edges; pinprick bubbles and blowing striations; some patches of thick creamy weathering but most of surfaces covered in brilliant iridescence.
15.43.252b: two fragments, removed from jug as not belonging to original vessel.
Translucent green; handle in same color.
Part of folded rim and flaring mouth, with top of handle trailed on to underside and over top of rim. Part of body with strap handle attached in a pad with horizontal tooled impression at base, and drawn up in a straight line.
Both fragments with some weathering, iridescence, and soil encrustation.
