Fruit and Flowers
With its mountain of fruit and dance of flowers in the background, this is one of Caccia’s most ambitious still-life compositions. Her idiosyncratic way of individuating each stem of the tulips and irises offers a notable contrast to the flower paintings by her Northern European contemporaries also on view in this gallery.
