This work of art was on loan to the museum and has since been returned to its lender.

This ring, like Sottsass’s gold necklaces, are constructed of a solid gold circle. The added materials differentiate the designs but also link them to each other. The humble pebble is treated as if it were a gemstone, by virtue of its setting in gold. The real value, however, lies in the stone’s privileged position—its contact with the wearer. The cold, round pebble on the skin stimulates the senses and connects the wearer to nature.
