Pocket notebook with rubbings of jewelry pasted over penciled notes headed April 1866

Pocket notebook with rubbings of jewelry pasted over penciled notes headed April 1866. Five leaves have pasted patterns on both sides, and the rest of the notebook is left blank. The pencil notes contain lists of numbers and names of jewels, mentioning brooches, rings, and earrings, among other types, possibly suggesting numbers or prices. Some notes also seem to contain calculations, and have sketches of monogram letters. In some cases, words in pen are superposed over the notes in pencil, often denoting months and numbers. Most of the notes are covered by the rubbings of jewelry pasted above them, which include a variety of roundels with interlacing motifs, pendant earrings, oval frames, and fragments of bracelets.
