26th plate of album with 60 19th-century costume plates and 1 drawing of mostly women's historical costumes, featuring a variety of designs for traditional costumes from different parts of the world, as well as costumes for literary characters. This plate consists of a variety of costumes for characters of "Le Petit Poucet" (Hop o' My Thumb, Little Thumbling) at the Théâtre de la Gaité. The first two costumes are for a Police Officer and a Soldier from the Army of Kids, the first wearing a green and gray suit, gray boots, yellow band and insignia, and gray police hat, and the second wearing a red jacket with white ruff collar, gray buttons, cuffs, pockets and belt, dark gray trousers, gray boots, and a white, elongated hat with golden details and red feathers; both of them carry swords. The next costume is for Tata, made up of a cream shirt with a red vest, cream and red skirt, a white kerchief wrapped around her head, a cream cross-body bag, and cream, pointed low-heels. The next two costumes are for the Little Thumbling: in the fourth act, he wears white jacket with golden embroideries, white culottes and white socks and shoes, a red band on his chest, and a white hat with feathers. In the first act he wears a cream shirt and red vest, tan culottes, pale blue socks and cream shoes. The last costume is for a boot, which consists of a large riding boot with a horizontal golden stripe and a silver, star-shaped spur; from the leg of the book emerges the head of a man wearing a dark-gray gendarmerie hat, with a white moustache, dark gray sleeves and gray gloves.
