Design for a poster of calendar for J. Löwy, Vienna
In this design for a calendar for the Viennese Court photographer and publisher Josef Löwy, Puchinger incorporates elements of impressionism and symbolism in the naturalistic landscape scene, and combines it with a simple but elegant Jugendstil frame. The calendar is an example of the facility with which Puchinger adopted a variety of styles in his graphic designs to adhere to the preference of his patrons and to fit the intended purpose of the work in question.
