Woman outdoors – Ewe kente skirt, headtie and blouse
Black and white photograph (printed by Jerry L. Thompson in 1975, NY.) It represents a woman wearing a Ewe kente skirt, a white blouse that is frilled at the neck and sleeves, and a head tie. The woman is said to be no less than the photographer’s wife, also seen in photograph 2015.499.21a, b. Accents of metal jewelry are visible on her hands, around her neck, and in her coiffure. She is seated in a wicker chair in an outdoor setting, with straw grass in the foreground and palm fronds behind her.
