Salt
This saltcellar and its mate came to the donor from a member of the Endicott family of Boston. According to family tradition, the salts were presented as a wedding gift to Philip and Emily Endicott with the hope that the symbolism of the salt—fidelity and hospitality—might characterize their married life.
