This work of art was on loan to the museum and has since been returned to its lender.
In 1908 Hector Deleval photographed several of the distinctive thatched open-front structures that served as ancestral shrines dedicated to chiefs of the Mayombe region in an area bordering the Lubuzi River, a tributary of the Chiloango River.
