Plate
This black and white transfer-printed earthenware plate made by the Staffordshire firm of James & Ralph Clews features a view of the historic town of Hudson located on the Hudson River in New York. See 10.57.29 for a discussion of the historical significance of the town and an explanation of the view. The American Wing's collection contains additional pieces by Clews.
