Pier Table
According to the donor's records, this table was made for the Pierpont family of Brooklyn and remained with them until their house was destroyed by fire in 1826. At that time the table and several other pieces of furniture were moved to the Pierpont home on lower Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. The table remained there until 1852, when it was taken to a house designed by Alexander Jackson Davis called "Hurstpierpont" in Garrison, New York.
