Portrait Medal of Bernardo de Rossi
On the obverse is a portrait of Bernardo de’ Rossi (1468 –
1527), bishop of Treviso in 1499 and governor of
Bologna from 1519 to 1523. The reverse shows a female
figure (Victory or Liberty?) in a chariot drawn by an eagle
and a dragon. This old aftercast, possibly from the seventeenth
century, is pierced on the top and underside.
