Satyress and her Infant

Workshop of Severo Calzetta da Ravenna Italian
ca. 1520 or later
Not on view
This bronze is a variation on one of the more popular models from the workshop of Severo da Ravenna. In this version, the satyress holds a cornucopia in her right hand and is seated on a tree trunk. The holes in the tree trunk were possibly for holding quill pens.
