With the eighth and ninth jousts the results are the same: more dead Turanians and more banners on the Iranian mound. In the tenth contest Barta of Iran and Kuhram of Turan confront one another, swords in hand. With a nimble shift of his horse, Barta cleaves Kuhram in two with his Indian scimitar.
