Theatrical costume: Robin Hood
Drawing, design for a woman's Robin Hood costume, created by Vincente Minnelli. The costume consists of a green and gold vest with long, puff sleeves with white and gold trimmings and embroidered pearls, worn with a golden belt around the waist, green tights, and high-heeled, pointed-toe, golden boots. A headdress of green color with golden trimmings and long, scrolling feathers (?) in the back covers the head. A green cape with white scales and border hangs from the shoulders, wrapped around the right arm. In her right hand, covered with purple gloves, holds a thin, long bow. A cloth swatch of gilt leather is attached at upper left of sheet.
