Diorama or Paper Theater: Praesentation eines Schönen Lustgarten durch einen bedeckten Gang

Publisher Martin Engelbrecht German
ca. 1730–40
Not on view
Paper theater or diorama consisting of six sheets and a title page. Together the sheets form a view of a country estate and garden with an walkway covered by an overgrown arcade mae out of trellises in a late Baroque style. Windows have been cut into the prints to allow for the view through several picture planes, but the prints have not been cut on the outside and thus still reveal the inscriptions and plate marks.
