Mathew B. Brady and his team of field operatives came across this trio of Confederate prisoners on Seminary Ridge two weeks after the Battle of Gettysburg. Beautifully posed by the photographers, it offers a rare glimpse of captured Confederates, possibly spies, on their way to a Union prison.
