Adam Fuss British
2004
Not on view
In this photogram—a cameraless photograph— Fuss used a stroboscopic flash to capture concentric waves formed by a droplet of water spreading across the liquid surface of the metal daguerreotype plate. An eloquent meditation on the tension between singularity and infinity, this unique photograph is both elemental and revelatory.
