Red Polished Ware pottery and its derivatives were manufactured in southern Cyprus throughout the Early Bronze Age and a good part of the Middle Bronze Age, a period of more than five hundred years. Potters of the Middle Cypriot period never attained the vivacity and originality seen in Early Cypriot Red Polished Ware works.
