Armchair
The design for this chair was derived from plate 36 of Thomas Sheraton's "The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Drawing-Book" (London, 1792). There are other armchairs of this design, which are also attributed to Connelly. The high-rising arms were described as "French elbows" in the Philadelphia furniture price book of 1795.
