The statuette is a cast made in 1954 by the Alva Studios now Alva Museum Replicas, Inc., New York City, from the bronze statuette number 40/G in the series cast by A.A. Hébrard from models by Degas. Number 40/G is in the collection of the Baltimore Museum of Art. For further information about the Degas model and the casts see 29.100.377.
