Side Chair

ca. 1937
On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 774
Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for his daughter, Iovanna, this chair is a variation on the hexagonal dining chairs he produced in 1937 for the Hanna Honeycomb house in Palo Alto, California. The design for the interior elements was based on the same hexagonal grid Wright used for the overall plan of the house.
