Nightshirt
Featured, is a well-made example of men's sleepwear from the early part of the twentieth century. The floral patterned textile is an interesting choice for a man's garment but its fine quality is representative of the high social standing of this well known family. Underwear and sleepwear were beginning to diverge from the men's shirt styles just before this period, making this garment special, as it documents the end of that particular look.
