Covered Toy Tureen
Small replicas of full-size objects have been made in America at least since the late eighteenth century, but it was not until the introduction of the pressing machine in the 1820s that they became widely produced as children's toys. No full-size pressed glass covered tureens in this pattern have been discovered.
